A presentation of Hans de Bruijn's work offers the viewer an adventure. His paintings are usually of an imposing size. His fascination with other famous painters is reflected throughout his work. In his paintings, he comments on their work, as well as on the way they achieve fame and thereby acquire significance. In this way, his work gives rise to a remarkable world with entirely its own forms of symbolism.
